Named for Dovetail Workwear co-founder, Kate Day, who worked the land growing up in Maine, owned a landscaping business, and never saw a shrub she didn’t want to prune. Relaxed fit through the leg. Packed with reinforcements, from a double-button waistband up top, to tough cuffs at the bottom. This pant has our standard mid-rise at the front waist, but is higher-backed at the rear—because the only crack we like to see is dawn’s!

    Our current ETA for shipment is 6/25/25. There is the possibility this date may change. If it changes by more than 3 days, we will email you.
  • Can I order the pre-order item and something else that’s already in stock?
    Yes, you can! We’ll ship the in-stock item first, and when the pre-order item is available, we’ll ship that to you separately.
  • What is the shipping cost for pre-orders?
    If you’re only ordering a pre-ordered item, shipping is the same as our regular shipping costs. If you’re ordering the pre-ordered item AND an in-stock item, there is a $18.00 flat fee for your items.
  • Can I use a discount code?
    Yes, you can use one, and it will apply across all items in your order, including the pre-ordered item. Please note that once the code is used, it cannot be changed.
  • If the pre-order hasn’t shipped yet, can I cancel it?

Run super small in the waist so size up

LOVE LOVE LOVE these. They were my favorite that I tried on. I bought several different pairs of pants in size 6 (my usual size), but when these came in they wouldn’t even button. I exchanged super easily and received a new pair (size 8) before I even returned the ones that didn’t fit. But even the size 8 was too tight around the waist to button. Now I’m waiting on my size 10 to come in and hopefully these fit because I’m so ready to wear these. So keep that in mind when adding these to your cart. Luckily their return policy is great.

Great work pants

Thick, well constructed fabric, with just enough stretch. I love the reinforced knees. Plenty of pockets. Only criticism is the annoying back pocket flaps and a slight waistband gap. Overall, a good pair of work pants. The dark brown color is very flattering yet professional.

Obsessed!

Couldn’t be happier! These fit tighter than the black old school high rise and the go to stretch that I wear a size 2 in. I got the size 4 and it fits perfect.
